Frank's West Ristorante and Pizzeria is great for all special occasions! Tony Badalamenti the owner of Frank's West Ristorante is from Carini near Palermo, Sicily. He graduated from college with an Accounting degree. Tony always wanted to own an Authentic Italian restaurant from when he was young. He was cooking for his family at eleven years old making Spaghetti Carbonara and other delectable dishes. He knew that having an Accounting degree and with his talent to cook would go hand-in-hand with owning the best Italian Restaurant.
Roseanna Carollo was born in Brooklyn, New York and her parents Frank and Elizabeth Carollo are also from Carini. Roseanna grew up in her family's restaurant business. She understands the hard work it takes to own and operate a restaurant business. She always wanted a restaurant of her own as well. Her family's restaurant is Frank's Ristorante in the Stony Point Shopping Center.
In 1995, Tony moved to Richmond, Virginia to live near his sister who is married to the owners of Piccola's in Downtown Richmond. There Tony was working with his brother-in-law. Tony opened his first restaurant, Pronto Pizzeria in 1998.
Tony and Roseanna met each other through mutual friends through the restaurant businesses in the Richmond area. They fell in love with each other. They both had the same goals in life and wanted something of their own together. Tony left Pronto's Pizzeria and started working with Roseanna's father Frank at Frank's Restaurant. In December 1999, they decided to open their business, Frank's West. They incorporated Frank's menu along with Tony's family recipes in their own menu. In May 2000, Tony and Roseanna tied the knot!
Business was doing well and their hard work was acknowledged by the Richmond Magazine being voted ''2003 Best Italian Dish of the Year'' which was the Penne Amatriciana dish. They were also featured in Style Weekly.

In 2005 their first child was born Vito Antonio. Tony and Roseanna went to Italy for their summer vacation in 2006 and there they celebrated Italy's victory in the World Cup with friends and family at their house in Carini. Tony is a HUGE soccer fan and he even played for his hometown when he lived in Carini. Then in June 2007 their second child Francesco Pio was born!
Don't ever feel shy to let Tony know about your experience at his restarant. He feels very rewarded when patrons compliment him on his dishes and their experience at Frank's West. Come to Frank's West and enjoy an authentic Italian family dining experience! We take reservations as well.
